MAP Assembly

The 3rd-6th grade students attended a MAP assembly where they played a "Family Feud" style game to answer questions about prepping for the MAP.  They had a great time!

Then the kids had a dance party!

Clap Along...

Mrs. Jacob's class is using music to get them happy for the MAP!

Buddy Class

Ms. Hankin's 6th grade class buddied up with Mrs. Leitterman's 1st grade class to help them find web diagram facts for their solar system project.

Persuassive Essays

Mrs. Picarella's class was presenting different topics to their peers, such as cell phone and school uniform policies, and trying to persuade their classmates to be on their side.  She said she was very impressed with their opinions and presentations!

Planting Celebration

Our beautiful garden is made possible because of our partnership with Mercy Hospital and the American Heart Association.  They have chosen our school to be part of their Teaching Gardens program.  Many of their representatives met with us on Thursday and helped our Garden Club students plant the vegetables that they donated to us!  We are so thankful for all of their help!

Mad Science Assembly

The 4th-6th graders got to participate in a Mad Science Assembly this week.  I was very impressed by our students' knowledge of physical and chemical changes, liquids, solids, and gases, and acids and bases!

There's always time for a selfie!

Garden Club

We had an overwhelming response for participation in our Garden Club!  We had to put the students in a Tuesday or Thursday group so we could have as many students as possible.  Here are some before pictures of the kids cleaning the garden up and getting the old dirt out so we can put the new dirt in!  They're doing a great job!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Our spirit committee has decorated our hallway for spring!  The students colored raindrops and flowers that are now displayed in the hallways.

And check out what some of our 2nd graders have to say about Springtime!
